We promote active participation in class
Geointeractiva aims to move away from the traditional form of teaching, which relies on the teacher dictating notes to students for memorization and reproduction in an evaluation environment. This teaching method results in a mere one-way transmission of information from teacher to student.
We know from experience that this memorization-based methodology fails to motivate students, and more and more educational institutions and teachers are opting for experimentation and the creation of new methods of learning, which we also support.
The tools and activities of Geointeractiva are designed for all ages, so that all users use the same application interface, but with the content that best suits their curricular stage. Geointeractiva can be used with the teacher as a guide, or individually by the student. In any case, user interaction with the information prevails over simple content visualization.
The activities you will find in the Downloadable Resources section are a proposal from the Geointeractiva pedagogical team, that is, a practical guide to encourage teachers to teach interactive and fun classes, which include the completion of projects in work groups, with the aim of increasing student interest and for them to obtain solid knowledge and feel involved in their own learning process.
